Reading
Our Reading aim:
Our aim is to make reading enjoyable, engaging and meaningful so that children have positive experiences of reading, gaining powerful skills for future use. We strive to make reading interesting - extending children’s knowledge and broadening their comprehension and fluency by providing a wide range of high-quality, inspiring texts that are appropriately challenging. Reading is part of what makes Millbridge ‘Millbridge’. Our classrooms are filled with books in which pupils can see themselves and feel like they belong, but also that show them a glimpse into the wider world.
