  • Chicks in School

    We have ten chirping chicks in school!

    Reception have been learning about life cycles in school and have an incubator for the next few weeks.

    We’ll be keeping the chicks until they are a bit bigger and then they’ll be heading to Mr Oldfield’s (our stand-in caretaker) chicken coop in his garden!

    *BREAK THE RULES FOR RED NOSE DAY 2025*

    Children can BREAK THE RULES!! next Friday (21st March 2025) and help us raise money for Red Nose Day 2025.

    Just break any of these rules -

    - Wear school uniform
    - School shoes must be worn
    - No crazy hairstyles
    - No juice in water bottles
    - No hats or caps in class
    - Healthy snacks only at break time
    - No odd socks or crazy tights

    and bring in £1 donation to go to Red Nose Day 2025.

  • Arbor Parent Portal and App

    We are very excited this week to launch our parent portal and app. Parents will now be able to use the app to:

    • look at the after-school clubs they attend;
    • book parent's evening appointments;
    • let us know about any consent or address/contact detail changes;
    • add/change any medical information about your child;
    • look at your child's attendance information, including their percentage attendance for the year so far.

     

    We will continue to use Class Dojo for day-to-day communication.

    The Arbor app is available for both Apple iOS and Android devices and can be found using the steps below:


    Step 1 - Go to your App Store
    Step 2 - Search for Arbor
    Step 3 - Download the Free app

    Logging in for the first time

    Once you have received the ‘welcome email’, follow the simple set-up instructions to get started using your Arbor App

    All 'Primary Guardians' should have received a welcome email direct from Arbor. If you were expecting an email and have not received one, please contact the office and we will resend the link.

  • SCHOOL CLOSED 08.01.2025

    *Wednesday 8th January- SCHOOL CLOSED!*

    Further to my recent message, we have decided to close school today. Staff are struggling get into school safely and the paths around school are very slippy.

    We apologise for the inconvenience of this, again it’s not ideal, but safety of pupils, parents and staff comes as a priority.

    Class teachers will be posting learning on class dojo for pupils to complete today- please keep an eye on your dojo pages!

  • Science Day

    This week we have been experimenting and had lots of fun during our Science Day. All classes had their own range of experiments, including investigated the best materials to make parachutes, ways to make ice melt and observed reactions between acids and alkalis.  Key Stage one created patterns by diluting the colouring on Skittles with water.

    We will be holding our Christmas Fair in the Hall on Thursday 14th December at 3.20pm.  Parents will have the chance to buy items made by the children and play a selection of Christmas games.  We look forward to seeing you then!
